GOOD KARMA SLIPPERS
Once the mystery of the Indian slipper was solved, I wrote this pattern. There are some techniques here that might be new to you, but don’t let that stop you, because they’re all easy to learn. These slippers are so comfortable that you’ll probably want to wear them around the house and take them with you when you travel.

NOTES
Turkish CO: Make a slipknot and place it on a circular needle (needle A). Hold a second circular needle (needle B) above the first. Bring the working yarn from the back of A, behind and over B to the front, then under A to the back again. Continue in this manner, wrapping the yarn around both needles so that you have half as many wraps as the number of stitches required for your cast-on. Slide A to the right so that the wraps are now on the cable of the needle, and both ends of the needle are dangling. Using the free end of B, knit the first wrap on the tip of B, making sure that when you knit it, the yarn is coming from under A. Knit all the wraps on B, then rotate both needles together clockwise so that A is now the back needle, and the working yarn is coming from underneath the right-hand end of B. Slide B to the right so that the wraps are now on the cable of the needle, and both ends of the needle are dangling. Slide A to the left so that the wraps are now on the tip of the needle. Slide the slipknot (the first loop on A) off A and pull out the knot. Using the free end of A, knit all the wraps on A, making sure that when you knit the first st, the yarn is coming from under B.
Working in the Round on Two Circular Needles: When you finish working the cast-on, you will be ready to begin the first round. Slide the stitches that you will be working to the tip of the needle; slide the stitches you are not working to the cable of the needle that they are on. With the free end of the needle that holds the
